20年近く恵比寿で現代美術作品を中心としたギャラリー活動を経て、 恵比寿とはちがった住居空間の中で作品を楽しむ新しいギャラリーとして、 文化と豊かな自然を求めて、新たに北鎌倉への移転を決めました。

体感の記憶をいまに再現する行為を建築と考える 建築家 堀部安嗣氏にMA2Gallery北鎌倉の設計をお願いしました。 家にいる時間を居心地よく、豊かにするとは、どんなことか？ そのようなアートと過ごすご提案ができるような挑戦の場でもあります。

ギャラリーの中心部に浮かぶ印象的な空間。 下から見上ることができ、 上からは、ぐるりとギャラリー全体を見回すことができる設計です。

2026年秋頃に建物は完成し、ギャラリーオープンを予定しております。


After nearly 20 years of contemporary art gallery activities in Ebisu,
we have decided to move to Kita-Kamakura, embracing the local culture and rich natural environment. We would like to create a new gallery where people can enjoy artworks in a relaxed home-style space.

We have asked architect Yasushi Horibe to design a space that recreates memories of (familiar?) physical experiences.
The space will also encourage proposals that provide interaction with art works that represent what it means to enrich your life and make your time at home more comfortable.
